Static vs. Dynamic Wrinkles
There are two categories of wrinkles to consider when seeking facial rejuvenation: static and dynamic. Static wrinkles are visible when your face is totally at rest. Due to the loss of elasticity and collagen in facial tissue over time, these wrinkles occur naturally during the aging process. Dynamic wrinkles, by contrast, appear when a muscle flexes during any sort of facial expression, whether happy or sad (think “frown” or “smile” lines), and are usually found around the eyes and between them, or on your forehead. Our treatment options can help to reduce both types of wrinkles.
